What inspires you?

I am inspired by nature-the beauty, the resilience, the way it calms me. I’m inspired by people who are genuine and kind. I’m inspired by instructors who make classes so engaging and fun, while making it seem effortless! 

What’s your fitness background?

My interest in group fitness began first as an avid participant- primarily in yoga, Pilates, and indoor cycling classes (with Mindy and Tatiana!). Now I love all types of classes and I also love hiking/walking/running with my husband and our dogs!

My fitness career started in 2012 when I started teaching yoga at the Y and for several years served as the Team Leader (coordinator) for the Yoga and Fitness programs there. I learned a lot about the field and had the chance to work with a variety of interesting people. Since then, I’ve gone on to earn numerous certifications and expanded to teaching many types of classes. My favorites to teach are strength or yoga.

I believe that exercise (any type!) is an amazing way to improve your physical and mental health and wellbeing at all stages of life. Just as important, group classes are a fun way to connect with others as part of a supportive community.  In every class I teach, there is a focus on safety, balance, strength, and stress relief! I enjoy sprinkling in practical tools for breath and movement that students can take into daily living.

Fitness: American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Group Fitness Instructor

What do you like about fitness teaching at Ethos?

Everything! The small group setting. The people who take classes are friendly and welcoming. The spaces are clean and pretty. Most of all, I’m honored to be part of a team that includes such skilled fitness professionals and all-around amazing humans!
