What inspires you?

I’m passionate about the life-changing qualities of building functional strength and movement, and I love creating classes that both challenge and invigorate you!

What’s your fitness background?

I played sports (mostly softball) growing up, but when I discovered Super Circuit classes at the HPER as an IU undergrad, I got hooked on fitness. Over the years, I joined gyms, took all kinds of classes, started running, and completed two marathons and two sprint triathlons. In 2012, I decided to turn my hobby into a job and got certified as personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. I started out teaching friends in my garage, then moved on to group fitness and personal training in a fitness studio, and now, thanks to some amazing people I met along the way (Tatiana, Mindy, Sara, Jill), I’m happily teaching remote classes for Ethos.

Any teaching, academic background or certifications?

I have a BA in Telecommunications and a minor in Film Studies from IU. I’m an ACE® certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, with additional certifications for TRX®, BOSU®, and willPower & Grace (now called CardioYoga). In my life outside Ethos, I’m a project manager and social media manager for University Information Technology Services (UITS) at IU, and in my spare time (ha!) I’m also a real estate agent.

What do you like about fitness teaching at Ethos?

The community at Ethos Fitness is truly something special. I’ve only been a part of the studio since things went virtual, but the feeling in every class I’ve taken or taught is one of togetherness and gratitude. I feel very fortunate to work with instructors and students who are so smart, committed, and generous in spirit.
